The Sadies theme this year is "circus".
Upon first thought I was super excited, because A) girls ask guys, which is always the best, B) I would dress up as one of those shiny Cirque do Soleil people, and C) Crazy crazy makeup!
But then I realized... Shit. Girls ask guys! And I'm going to have go and shop for a costume (I'm a failure at shopping)! Not to mention having to spend an hour beforehand on makeup.
Then came the weighty realization that I'd have to pick just one Cirque character, just one costume... and worst of all - just one boy.
Why does the world have to be so unfair?
It doesn't make sense to me to have to commit to just one date - I've got my twenties and thirties for that. And if I was really dying for a boyfriend, I'd have one. My teens are meant for me to be free and to live off my whims.
But I'm willing to compromise. I'll pick just one Cirque character and one costume - but I'm not guaranteeing I'll only take one boy.
Because if you can't make up your mind on what to pick, it's perfectly acceptable to take all the cars for a test drive.
